Located in northeastern Puerto Rico on the slopes of the Sierra de Luquillo Mountains, El Yunque is the only tropical rain forest in the United States National Forest System. At 28,000 acres, it’s the largest block of public land in Puerto Rico with an average annual rainfall of 200 inches.
